Shashank Shekhar

Hey, let me start with an introduction of my friend Shashank (wicked mind behind doDecals) . He is a whiz kid, a very cheerful person by heart and a person with strong visualization power. Well, I guess that’s a deadly combination of talent in a single person.

But beware, never expect him to write anything for anyone, no matter how important the work is, he says “I feel as if am paralyzed whenever someone tells me to write something”. Haha, I tried it once and the call got disconnected.

Shashank is not only the CEO and Founder at doDecals but is also a web developer. He has also helped few BIG eCommerce websites in India and abroad in setting up their technical stack.

I bet, you can’t find anyone better than him for your website and software development work.

On a personal level he is a very helpful guy who believes in sharing love, happiness and positivity. If you are connected to him, you never know when he calls you up with some freaking interesting ideas for a business.

Yeah, the same incident miracle happened with me as well when I was in a deep sleep mode.

He is a B-Tech from a very renowned college of India and handles the engineering and other complex technical aspects of doDecals.

Dr Amit S Talbot

Did I just say Doctor? Oh…Yes, actually we have seen him more as a geek than a doctor. So, we keep forgetting about him being a doctor, until we find him with a syringe in his hand.  He is a hard core Facebook app developer and a true javascript ninja.

Dr. Amit Talbot doesn’t need an intro for sure; still I won’t be wrong in designating him as Mark Zuckerberg of India. Yes, exactly… he made an application which had all the features of what you love in Facebook today, in fact more than that.

But you know what, he’s is still unaware of the fact about what master piece he has created. Of course I know why, because he’s psycho I mean geek, it’s just a small part of his creations (being modest).

If you love Tamil songs, you can’t resist tapping your feet on his song remixes. You will actually fall in love with all the talent he is having. He is a very kind-hearted person, funny, and most importantly very energetic and quick in taking decisions.

On a serious note, Dr. Amit is the Co-Founder and COO at doDecals, we are happy to have him with us. Indeed, he is doDecals’ family doctor.

Hi! Am Priti Singh (@qnapriti), a girl who had never ever thought of getting into blogging. I remember when I was a teenager I was too scared to use computers, and internet was a horrifying thing for me. Since I was not exposed to it I was bad at using it. Yeah, it continued for long.

After I completed my MBA, I came to Delhi looking for a job and was after the same routine of doing so until that morning when my friend Shashank called me up to write few contents for his website and to my surprise, he was quite impressed with my style of writing.

Okay, so the story continues…

After few days, in the month of May 2012 he called me up around 1:50 AM in the midnight (don’t know why he always gets all his ideas at midnight…). I woke up suddenly from a dream when my phone started ringing, I picked up his call and the conversation is right here:

 Shashank: Hey Priti! Will you be interested in blogging???

Me: Aaaa……… (pause….thinking what he is talking about? And my eyes widened up.)

Shashank: Are you there?

Me: Yes, I am here but I know nothing about blogging

Shashank: Well, I will help you out with everything if you are really interested.

Me: Ok then am in.

I said Yes to him but I still had an option to make a clear thought about it and then proceed, after all its a life changing decision for me. In between I also applied for some of the job openings. I would like to share one of my interview experiences with you.

This is what exactly happened;

The interviewer asked me about my job experiences and qualification to which I replied very confidently. Can you believe what he replied to me? He said, Well Priti, “you are overqualified” for this job position.

Hell number of questions busted in my mind, but I reacted as if I didn’t know what is he talking about? I was sitting expressionless.

Ah…really….can anyone please explain me what he exactly meant by saying that? I travelled for such a long distance of about one and half hour to hear this statement. Gosh…this made me to stick to my decision of getting into blogging now.

I called up my dad and said “hey dad, I don’t want to do a job because am not meant for that and hence from now on, I will be blogging”. to which my father replied “What… jogging? Its 9 P.M and you want to go for jogging?”

I couldn’t control myself and burst out laughing. Then I explained him what actually I wanted to do. Finally, I called up Shashank and gave my confirmation of working with him and asked more about how to proceed and what does it take to be a pro-blogger?

I was waiting for his response but didn’t get any, after a while he shouted at once so loudly “hey, that’s a great news, welcome” and after that I couldn’t hear a sentence, my ears were senseless (just kidding).

He told me each and every bit about it and helped me a lot to learn. The continued story is what you are seeing right now. I am a blogger now. And most importantly, the niche that I have chosen for writing i.e. Interior Decoration is of my interest.

Blogging is not only about writing articles it’s also about making good connections and adding some value, anyone who want to be a blogger needs to have loads and loads of patience and that is what takes you a long way ahead.

Till now I have written many articles and doing a lot of research work, trust me it is time taking but you will definitely not feel bored with it, if you are really interested in your work.

Apart from all these our doDecals family would have never been completed without the help and support of people working for doDecals. A big thanks to all of them.

I believe there’s always a need to change something or the other as new things comes in and old ones goes out. So, it will be a great pleasure for us to introduce you to different styles and trends that will help you to do your home yourself.
